February meeting notes and forthcoming events

Treasurer report:

No change in funds. We still haven't paid back the District 1 Coalition for our overage on the park event last month, but Klint is in touch with them about it.

The end of our fiscal year is February 28. Klint will file paperwork with the state of Oregon after.

Klint is also continuing to research banks.

District 1 Coalition (D1C) updates:

Small grant applications are open. This was the source of our $2,000 funding for the park event last year. We voted to approve a a plan to submit a revised version of last year's grant for this year's park event.

Emma from D1C provided a brief update on the city's request for proposals (RFP) for district coalitions. She says that rather than making the existing coalitions compete with other organizations for the role, what is actually happening is that the district coalitions are being asked to submit proposals to compete for funding. Details are still emerging, but it sounds like all the coalitions are opposed to this idea.

Knott Park update

The walking trails have finally been (mostly) chipped following Councilor Dunphy's promise to look into it last month. There's a small amount on the north side of the park that has not been chipped, but it looks like they need to do some more work in that area before they can proceed.
