Treasurer report: No change in funds. We still haven't paid back the District 1 Coalition for our overage on the park event last month, but Klint is in touch with them about it. The end of our fiscal year is February 28. Klint will file paperwork with the state of Oregon after. Klint is also continuing to research banks. Small grant applications are open. This was the source of our $2,000 funding for the park event last year. We voted to approve a a plan to submit a revised version of last year's grant for this year's park event. Emma from D1C provided a brief update on the city's request for proposals (RFP) for district coalitions. She says that rather than making the existing coalitions compete with other organizations for the role, what is actually happening is that the district coalitions are being asked to submit proposals to compete for funding. Details are still emerging, but it sounds like all the coalitions are opposed to this idea. The walking trails have finally been (mostly) chipped following Councilor Dunphy's promise to look into it last month. There's a small amount on the north side of the park that has not been chipped, but it looks like they need to do some more work in that area before they can proceed. February 11 (Tonight!): 6pm to 7:30pm. Virtual budget learning session. February 20: 9am to 11am Coffee with a Cop at Councilor Smith's office. February 27: Constituent Coffee Chat with Councilor Dunphy at Parkrose Coffee. March 14 (New date): 9am. Pancake vs. Waffles breakfast at Parkrose United Methodist. Anna expects to receive pancake and waffle mix donations, so there won't be any funds used for this. April 4: Craft fair at Parkrose United Methodist. More details to come. April 25: Parkrose Education Foundation's annual auction to raise funds for schools. Details forthcoming, but keep an eye out here. June 20th (To be confirmed): Our second annual Picnic in the Park. We still need to confirm this date with the city. August 4th: National Night Out. A family friendly movie and popcorn at Parkrose United Methodist. More details to come. |
