Forthcoming events: Moda Center meeting at Lents Park, and more

Forthcoming events of note:

Some other news from the last meeting (Note: These are not official meeting minutes, just some quick notes):

  • Councilor Jamie Dunphy’s office is providing $2,000 sponsorships to all neighborhood associations. The money comes from his office’s outreach budget. We’re looking into how best spend this money. One possibility: A portable air conditioning unit that we can use to cool Miller Hall for summer events. (We could also possibly write a Metro grant for the AC)
  • The Hazelwood Neighborhood Association has leased land from David Douglas High School to turn some of the empty lot next to the old Fred Meyers into a pocket park and soccer field, using money from Prosper Portland.
