Hello Parkrose Heights Neighbors We are almost 2 weeks from our Chili Cookoff, Craft Fair and Movie Night. The 2 major things we need are Chili Makers and Crafters to participate. Here are the details. The Chili Cook-offOne of our best events last year was the Chili Cookoff. We had 4 chili’s that were made by neighbors just like you. They each had a number and the community voted for their favorite. The winner received bragging rights, and the donations that were received from the community. We are looking for home cooks, and the major goal is fun and feeding our neighbors with delicious Chili. Craft EventAre you a crafter, baker or other type of vendor? This is an opportunity to get a jump start on your holiday offerings. There is no table fee and we are excited to see your items. We will also be showing the Fall Classic Hocus Pocus in our Theatre room. If you want to participate (we know you do), please email Anna Bonte, our activities coordinator for Parkrose Heights Association of Neighbors. She can provide more details. Another noteworthy event this weekend: Oregon Walks is hosting a Walk With District 1 City Councilors on Sep. 14th from 9 to 10am Starting at the Springwater Trail and 82nd Avenue District 1 City Councilors: Loretta Smith, Candace Avalos, and Council President Jamie Dunphy will be present for this casual walk (1.5 mile round trip) along the scenic Springwater Trail.
